Daffodils in Morningside Park, Spring 2005Join us for “It's My Park Day” in Morningside Park. Come out and help us plant 4,000 daffodil bulbs which will completely transform our park with color in the Spring. Bring the whole family. Planting and seing the results in the Spring is such a satisfying experience for all ages! Check out these pictures which show the results of last year's efforts. We are so grateful to the New Yorkers for Parks' Daffodil Project for providing us with bulbs and Partnerships for Parks for providing support for “It's My Park Day” events. Gardening tools will be provided but feel free to bring your own.

Get Involved - Attend Our Monthly Meeting Thursday Night

The Friends of Morningside Park is an all volunteer organization. We do not have a single paid staff position and rely on the hard work of volunteers to organize all of our events. We need you to get involved with our efforts to continue to transform our park and return it to the premier park status it had when it was built. One of the best ways to begin your involvement is to attend our monthly meetings. To be a voting member of our organization you simply have to attend two of these meetings within a twelve month period. We are always eager to receive monetary contributions but becoming a member by attending our meetings is another way you can help out. This month we return to our traditional meeting space in the basement of the Church of the Master. Details can be found below.

Date: Thursday, October 13th
Time: 6:30pm
Place: Church Of The Master, 86 Morningside Avenue between 121st and 122nd Streets. Here is a Map

Enjoy The Park!
