Morningside Park Farmers Market

In June of 2005 Friends of Morningside Park established the first farmers market to serve the combination of Harlem, Manhattan Valley and Morningside Heights neighborhoods. After our site at the intersection of these neighborhoods was rejected by the dominant manager of markets in the city, we turned to independent market manager Community Markets. Operating today as Down to Earth Markets the market has thrived and grown every year since.

Down to Earth envisions a strong regional food system, built by independent farms and food businesses, that provides everyone with an alternative to industrial food. They believe that seasonal, local food is a vital part of our heritage that ensures the health of our communities and environment.

The Farmers Market is open year-round, inside the Park at the corner of 110th Street and Manhattan Ave. Visit their website below for more information.
