We are pleased to announce the election of new Board member Orlando Camargo.
Orlando joins the organization's leadership team with a wealth of experience in business, communications, and international relations.
“We are thrilled to have Orlando join us in our mission to preserve and enhance Morningside Park,” said Brad Taylor, the President of the Friends of Morningside Park. “We are confident that his skills and experience in business, public relations, and communications will be invaluable as we expand our programming and advocacy efforts."
“It is an honor to join a Board dedicated to improving and preserving an iconic community treasure,” said Orlando Camargo. “As a long-term New Yorker and Harlem resident, I look forward to helping create opportunities for more people to enjoy one of the most joyful urban parks in the country.”
Update: October 8
Orlando was introduced to the public at the celebration for the restarted Morningside Park waterfall on Oct. 4 and hit the ground running with our communications team on October 5 stepping in to narrate the Morningside Park segment of a joint Social Media project being developed by the Central Park Conservancy focusing features in the northern part of Central Park and on the neighboring Morningside and Riverside parks.
