We're Lighting the Park's Amazing Holiday Tree on Saturday

We are thrilled that we will be back at 121st street for our rescheduled Winter Celebration and Holiday Tree Lighting this Saturday! The festivities begin at 5pm and we will light the tree at 5:50pm. Here's what we have planned:

  • FREE refreshments including hot chocolate donated by Starbucks, cider and donuts donated by the Morningside Park Farmers Market, and home made cookies

  • Glow sticks for the kids donated by Harlem 4 Kids.

  • Music by a trombone quartet from Manhattan School of Music and a choir from Teachers' College singing songs from a wide range of holiday tradition

We can't wait to see you all at the event!

LET'S CONNECT

Friends of Morningside Park advocates for the maintenance and improvement of the Park by raising funds, coordinating volunteers, and offering programs for the community.

 

We promote the enjoyment and responsible use of the park through an extensive set of programs which over the years have included arts and cultural festivals, a farmers market, film screenings, public art displays, musical and theatrical performances, sports tournaments, community picnics, park cleanups and plantings, tree lightings and holiday events.
